All XP detectors are powered with 12 volts from 8 AA batteries using 2 battery holders supplied with the machine. This battery holder is a direct replacement for those, ideal for a quick change of batteries in the field or to replace a lost or broken battery holder. When inserting the batteries into the machine ensure that the rivets are on the right and screw the lid on with the battery box nuts.
