Based on an amine complex of hydroxycarboxylic acid in aqueous solution (pH approx. 4.0), it’s ideal for professional conservation, restoration, and maintenance work.

Gentle Action, Complete Control

The treatment works by selectively breaking the bond between rust and the base metal, converting corrosion into a soft sludge that can be easily wiped or brushed away. A clean water rinse instantly stops the process, giving you complete control.

Even prolonged immersion over several days does not harm sound metal, making this solution ideal for sensitive or valuable objects. However, regular checks are recommended during treatment.

Stabilises Metal Surfaces Post-Treatment

Electrolytic effects between dissimilar metals are minimal for up to 48 hours during treatment, and zinc coatings remain unaffected under normal conditions.

Optimal Use and Storage Guidelines

• Most effective between 10°C and 20°C

• Slower action at lower temperatures is ideal for weekend-long treatments.

• Pre-clean surfaces by wire-brushing loose rust and degreasing before immersion.

• Light corrosion can be cleared in just 2 minutes; brushing speed results.

• Use mild steel, rubber, porcelain, polythene or plastic containers.

• Avoid tanks lined with zinc, tin, galvanised metal or lead.

Long-Lasting Performance

After use, the solution can be filtered and reused by siphoning off sediment and topping up with fresh liquid. The active solution remains effective for several weeks, making it economical and efficient.
